18 Hole Championship Course
HOLE 1:
VOLCANO - 375M PAR 4
(390 YARDS)
With a superb view of Mount Salak the tee, this par four is probably one of the most spectacular starting holes in the world! It looks more difficult than it plays. A nice wide landing area 273 yards below the tee provides a comfortable margin for error. Long hitters need to be aware of the lake on the right.
HOLE 2:
TERRACES - 506M PAR 5
(521 YARDS)
An elevated par five to a terraced three level green. Players with the skill to place their approach shot on the right level will have real advantage on this hole.
HOLE 3:
PARKWAY - 167M PAR 3
(182 YARDS)
If you must miss the green on this first par three than do so on the left! A chip shoot from the right will be very difficult to stop because of the high mounds. Passing under the Parkway brings you to the tees of number 4.
HOLE 4:
BUKIT BADIGUL - 443M PAR 4
(458 YARDS)
This par four is a dog-leg right to a well-bunkered green. The challenge of this hole is to place your drive far enough down the fairway fo a good view of the green. Short hitters will have to lay up and then contend with the lake on the left (Bukit Badigul is the small hill in view from the tee).
HOLE 5:
FLOWER TRAP - 360M PAR 4
(375 YARDS)
Another par four dog-leg but to the left this time. Beware of cutting the corner on this one as a flower trap is waiting. Do not be lulled into hitting too short however, as a careless approach shot will find water on the right.
HOLE 6:
SPIDER - 165M PAR 4
(180 YARDS)
A second par three to a downhill green. Beware of the seven pot hole bunkers since the "spider" will trap any shot which fails to hit the green.
HOLE 7:
PENINSULA - 409M PAR 4
(424 YARDS)
This par four requires an accurate thee shot from an elevated tee box to a peninsula fairway with water on all sides. A second accurate shot 1 also needed for any hope of achieving a birdie or even par.
HOLE 8:
CANYON - 516M PAR 44
(531 YARDS)
More water but this time surrounding the tees. A double dog-leg par five along the canyon to an elevated green. Players having the skill to fade and draw the ball around the dog-legs will have a real advantage on this hole.
HOLE 9:
WATERFALLS - 386M PAR 4
(401 YARDS)
Return to the clubhouse with a straight par four to a water protected green. The key to success on this hole is a well-placed tee shot which will allow the golfer to reach the green in regulation. The waterfalls on the right of the green will make even a bogey enjoyable.
HOLE 10:
DRAW OUT - 367M PAR 4
(382 YARDS)
The opening hole to the back nine is a challenging par four. If you miss the fairway to the left your ball will be gone forever.
HOLE 11:
PATIENCE - 535M PAR 5
(550 YARDS)
The longest par five on the course with water to the left. Patience rather than boldness will pay off with this hole.
HOLE 12:
DEVIL'S ADVOCATE - 308M
PAR 4 (323 YARDS)
A 323 yards par four to an elevated green but do not let the shortness of the hole send you to sleep. Concentration and a three wood on the drive might be a good choice for its narrow fairway. The bunker in front will need a lofted approach for success on the green.
HOLE 13:
EAGLES NEST - 495M PAR 5
(510 YARDS)
A par five reachable in two gives this hole its character. The green is perched high like an eagles' nest so do not be too long with your approach shot. A missed shot to the green will find you with a broken egg or two.
HOLE 14:
CLIMAX - 175M PAR 3
(150 YARDS)
One of the most spectacular holes on the golf course. A par three from elevated tees looking over the water. Be sure to make the correct club selection. An approach shot over the green into the elevated back bunker will leave you with a nerve-wrecking recovery shot.
HOLE 15:
SANDLAKE - 412M PAR 4
(427 YARDS)
A long straight par four with a well-protected green. The large sand lake on the left of the green makes the approach shot a real test.
HOLE 16:
SNAKES AND LADDERS -
273M PAR 4 (288 YARDS)
A par four dog-leg left to a multi-tiered green. Changes in direction and in level make this hole particulary challenging. For a good score you must start with a well-place tee shot.
HOLE 17:
CONTOURS - 180M PAR 3
(195 YARDS)
A beautifully contoured par three to a well bunkered green. If you want to play safe, stay left and hope for a good chip shot.
HOLE 18:
TREASURE ISLAND - 411M
PAR 4 (426 YARDS)
Cascading water ont the left and back of the green, peaceful water on the front and right, make this one the most spectacular and beautiful finishing holes in the world. A par four dog-leg right to the island green. Par on this hole will make you feel good no matter what your score for the round.
